Microsoft has yet to confirm the video games to be included in the Games With Gold lineup next month, although it is speculated that the list will have at least one popular AAA title. For one, the top prediction has Ubisoft's "Watch Dogs 2" leading the pack of free games this April.
For the past few months, there has been a nice development in the lineup of free games in the Xbox Games With Gold. Xbox Live Gold subscribers are already used to a number of small indie titles every month, but things have got a lot better with the addition of more popular titles. This is why Twinfinite speculates that the April 2018 free games lineup will be the right opportunity to feature the latest action-adventure video game from Ubisoft, "Watch Dogs 2."
"Watch Dogs 2" tells the story of Marcus Holloway, a computer expert and hacktivist who uses his special skills to track down a corrupt goverment body that wishes to exploit the ctOS surveillance system in San Francisco. The title serves as a sequel to the "Watch Dogs" game in 2014, and just like the original, "Watch Dogs 2" has proven to be a huge success, both commercially and critically. This kind of game is something that will attract more people into paying subscription for the Xbox Games With Gold service.
Another likely addition to the Xbox Games With Gold April 2018 free games list is the popular sports video game "Rocket League," which was already offered as a promo in the Microsoft Store along with "NBA 2K17." It is assumed that "Rocket League" will eventually find its way to the Games With Gold catalog in the near future, although it will not be surprising to see the game becoming available as early as next month.
Per Express UK, one of the free game titles offered in the Games With Gold March 2018 collection will extend to the next month. "Superhot" will remain in the free games catalog of Xbox Live Gold members until April 15. Microsoft is expected to announce the complete and official list of video games next week.
