WWE rumors Bill Goldberg: Wrestler looking to return to the fold and fight Undertaker?

It has been previously reported that retired wrestler Bill Goldberg was open to returning to the WWE, although he explained it was up to the WWE whether or not they'd take him in. In a new report from TMZ, it is speculated that negotiations are indeed in the works and that Goldberg could be coming back for a brief stint.

According to the report, Goldberg has softened up regarding his decade-old feud with the WWE and Vince McMahon and that he would be willing to come back if they wanted him, explaining he was already 49 years old and that he had a limited amount of time to come back. A few years more and he would be too old to wrestle in the ring.

In a separate interview with Games Radar, Goldberg stated that if he did get to come back he would like to have a rematch against Brock Lesnar. Goldberg's final WWE match was against Lesnar but the fight was poorly received. Lesnar also left the WWE but did come back since 2012.

Goldberg also stated that there were other wrestlers he wanted to go up against, such as Seth Rollins, but his real goal was to go up against the Undertaker, who has been with the WWE for over 20 years. During Goldberg's tenure on WWE the two legendary fighters had never gone up against each other.

"Taker is an idol of mine," he told Games Radar. "I've know him since before I got into the business. I very much respect him both in and out of the ring - as a human being first and foremost, but also as a wrestler, with all he's achieved. Going up against him would be a dream come true for me - and the fans, obviously."

Goldberg is being featured both on the cover and in-game for "WWE 2K17," which launches this Oct. 11.
