Worship Service of the World Day of Prayer

HONG KONG--- Supporting the worldwide ecumenical movement, Hong Kong will hold the annual worship service of the World Day of Prayer (WDP) on 13, March, the second Saturday of March, following the tradition of previous years.

The head of the department of Religion and Philosophy from Hong Kong Baptist University, Dr. Lo Ping Cheung, is invited to be the guest speaker. Dr. Lo is also the director of the Center for Sino-Christian Studies. The theme of the worship service is “In Faith, Women Shape the Future?

According to the organizing committee, not only the WDP represents the vision of Christian unity, but it also enriches the spiritual life of Christian through sharing their experiences in ministries and carrying each other’s burden in prayers.

World Day of Prayer (Hong Kong) Committee and the Hong Kong Christian Council (HKCC) have been supporting the WDP since 1961.With a ready heart to take action for God, Christians worldwide pray with faith in the event, it is really a remarkable event for Hong Kong Christianity.

The worship service will be held at the China Congregation Church on 13, March at 2: 30 pm. It is opened to all people. Simultaneous interpretation into English will be provided.
