Microsoft's next generation console owners can add yet another massive multiplayer title to their endless gaming sessions because "World of Tanks" is going to be released for the Xbox One platform. The multiplayer title was first released for the Xbox 360 and after being ported to the iOS and Android platform with a modified title called "World of Tanks Blitz," "World of Tanks" will be getting released for the Xbox One at an unspecified date.

With the upcoming release, console gamers will be able to immerse in cross platform battles taking place on the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One, according to the information posted on the official website of "World of Tanks." In addition, since the title is present on the Xbox Live Arcade, it means that the player's entire progress will be migrated to the user's Xbox One console, and will boast much more intense visuals compared to the previous generation machines.

Another added benefit of having an Xbox Live Account will be that gamers will be able to play on both consoles and continue to maintain their progress. "World of Tanks" debuted on April 12, 2011, and in terms of gameplay, the massive multiplayer title features six gaming modes which are as follows.

  • Random battles
  • Team-training battles
  • Tank-company battles
  • Team battles
  • Historical battles
  • Clan battles

The game also features more than 300 tank models that have originated from the regions of U.S, France, Germany, Soviet Union, China, Japan, and Britain. As for "World of Tanks Blitz," the game features seven on seven battles compared to the 15 on 15 battles that are played on consoles. The variant was released on the iOS platform on June 27, 2014 and came out for Android on Dec. 4, 2014. The game has become severely popular, even on mobile platforms, accumulating more than 1.1 million downloads from the Google Play Store.
