In the next episode of "Van Helsing," Scarlett Harker (Missy Peregrym) and her group take sanctuary in a town run by its sheriff and his troops.

The synopsis and promotional photos for the upcoming installment titled "Big Momma" were just released recently and showed Harker, Axel Miller (Jonathan Scarfe), Julius (Aleks Paunovic) and Doc (Rukiya Bernard) with nooses around their necks and their hands tied behind their backs. Apparently, they are about to be hanged by the town's law enforcement. They all appear calm and are able to reach an agreement with the sheriff, and are later set free. It appears that they will rest their heads in the sanctuary for the meantime while they form a plan to rescue the vampire huntress Vanessa Helsing (Kelly Overton). They have to tread carefully so that the sheriff and his troops will not get in their way.

Meanwhile, Flesh (Vincent Gale) and Lucky (Andrea Ware) hunt down the vampire madman Sam (Christopher Heyerdahl) who stole away Mohamad (Trezzo Mahoro) from them. They are shown holding their rifles as they see something threatening from afar. Flesh looks very worried as he readies his gun to shoot an oncoming enemy. It remains to be seen who the perpetrator is and if they will be able to save Mohamad from Sam.

In the last episode, Van Helsing bit Miller on the neck and turned him back into a human. However, his heart stopped for a short period of time which worried the group. He regained consciousness a while later. In a sudden twist of events, a mysterious group kidnapped Van Helsing and took her to their helicopter and escaped. Harker and the group were knocked out with a sleeping gas.

"Van Helsing" season 2 episode 8 will hit the airwaves on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 10 p.m. EST on Syfy.
