Uruguay vs Ecuador live stream (Preview): How to watch CONMEBOL World Cup football online

Uruguay will play Ecuador on Thursday night in a CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying game. This should be an exciting match up as both teams have got off to perfect starts in their qualifying campaigns so far. Today's game has a scheduled start time of 4 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream via the link below.

Today's game comes from Quito, and coming into the game Oscar Tabarez's side are top of the league table after two games. His side have gained two wins from two so far; defeating Bolivia 2-0 in La Paz before slamming Colombia 3-0 at home, which went a little way to gaining revenge for their World Cup elimination to the Colombians last time out.

Meanwhile, Ecuador have been impressive as well so far, gaining wins over Argentina and Bolivia, and they are only behind Uruguay only on goal difference.

Tabarez has said ahead of today's game: "We are going to go into these matches with the same mentality. We want to work hard on limiting the opponent, trying to create problems with the aim of getting points. We're ready and are preparing."

Cristhian Stuani and Martin Caceres have suffered groin and thigh injuries ahead of the game and both will need late checks to see if they will make the game tonight or not. However, one player definitely out of today's game is Jose Gimenez. The Atletico Madrid player suffered a hamstring injury and that sidelines him for today's qualifier.

Luis Suarez is still unable to play for Uruguay. He is still serving out his suspension for biting Giorgio Chiellini of Italy at the last World Cup, although that suspension is almost over now so when he returns it will be a massive boost for the Uruguay team.

Ecuador have injury issues too, and will be without attacking pair Antonio Valencia and Enner Valencia.

These two teams appear to be very evenly matched coming into today's game, and that is consistent with how these teams have fared over the years. Over six contests head to head through the past three qualification cycles these two teams have drawn with each other three times. Whether one can get the better of the other in today's game remains to be seen.

Uruguay and Ecuador will face off from 4 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream by clicking here.
