With Black Friday 2017 just days away, a handful of video game deals have been announced in time for the annual shopping bonanza. One of the games marked down for Black Friday is the ambitious open-world game set in Ancient Egypt "Assassin's Creed Origins" for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
The game received mostly positive review during its release in October of this year, and major retailer stores are offering discounts for it. Target and Best Buy will sell the title for only $35 on Black Friday, while Toys r Us will also sell it at a marked down price, but is $5 more expensive than what Best Buy and Target offers at $40. On the other hand, Gamestop offers a discount for the title along with a season pass at $70.
Ubisoft's PC game sale has gone underway offering lowered prices for the publisher's games including "Assassin's Creed Origins" which it offers for $40. Aside from "Assassin's Creed Origins," other games from Ubisoft like "South Park: Fractured but Whole" is marked down at $40, "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" at $30, "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" at $30, "For Honor" at $24, "Rainbow Six Siege" at $20, and "Watch Dogs 2" for only $16. These prices for the Ubisoft PC game sale will be available until Nov. 26.
Meanwhile, Xbox and PlayStation stores are also selling the digital-only copy of "Assassin's Creed Origins" for $42. This is a decent option for consumers who are fine with not having a tangible disc copy of the game.
Gamespot gave "Assassin's Creed Origins" a review score of 7/10 as reviewer Alessandro Fillari claims that the game reaches new heights having been set in Ancient Egypt, but is bothered by the constant issues that bog down the overall experience of the game. Nonetheless, updates have been released by Ubisoft to fix bugs and made other tweaks to the game.
