|PIC1|Internationally renowned pop/rockers U2 have given the UK their favorite song lyric of all-time, according to a survey released last week.

The "Nation's Favourite Lyric" poll conducted by VH1, in which more than 13,000 participated, revealed the line, "One life, with each other, sisters, brothers" from the 1992 song "One" to be Great Britain's most memorable, with lines from The Smiths, Nirvana, Bob Marley and Coldplay filling out the top five:

1. U2 - One. "One life, with each other, sisters, brothers."
2. The Smiths - How Soon is Now? "So you go, and you stand on your own, and you leave on your own, and you go home, and you cry, and you want
to die."
3. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit. "I feel stupid and contagious, here we are now, entertain us."
4. Bob Marley - Redemption Song. "Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds, have no fear for atomic energy, 'cause none of them can stop the time."
5. Coldplay - Yellow. "Look at the stars, look how they shine for you."

U2 had two other songs in the top one hundred with "Where the Streets Have No Name" coming in at No. 11 and "Pride (In the Name of Love)" inching into the top 40 at No. 39.

Other notable entries included Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" at No. 77 and Tupac Shakur's "California Love" at No. 15.
