'Total War: Warhammer' DLC latest news: new character Grombrindal the White Dwarf available now

A promo tour for "Total War: Warhammer" Creative Assembly, Sega

A brand new trailer from Creative Assembly and Sega reveal a brand new Legendary Lord for "Total War: Warhammer." This character, Grombrindal the White Dwarf, is going to be officially added to the game in 2017, but players can get him early through two different means.

As stated by Dual Shockers, subscribers to the "White Dwarf" magazine will be able to get a special Steam key code in the upcoming November issue. This key code can then be entered on Steam and Grombrindal can then be downloaded. The second method is to simply visit a Games Workshop store and ask for the key code from any staff employee.

Unfortunately, those without a nearby Games Workshop store or subscription to the magazine will have to wait until 2017 to download and play Grombrindal the White Dwarf in "Total War: Warhammer."

Fans of the franchise will recall that the "White Dwarf" magazine is inspired by this iconic character. According to the trailer, no one knows the true identity of Grombrindal. Some rumors suggest he is the reincarnation of the last High King, Snorri Longbeard, or that he is the betrothed lover of the goddess Valaya.

Grombrindal suddenly comes in when he most needed, symbolizing hope and pride of the Dwarven clans, and then leaves as quickly as he appeared.

The report reveals that as with all Legendary Lords Grombrindal will have several quests that, when completed, will unlock and grant his Legendary gear. These include the Rune Helm of Zhufbar, the Armour of Glimril Scales, the Rune Cloak of Valaya, and lastly, the Rune Axe of Grimnir.

In battle, he can take the forms and abilities of several Dwarf deities like Valaya, Grimnir, and Grungni. Grombrindal also increases the chance of underway evasion and has the best campaign reinforcement range.

He also has a unique ability in combat known as "Grimnir Has No Fear," and when activated, it increases melee attack, melee defense, vigor and the Unbreakable stat. Grombrindal has a second ability known as "Flash Bomb," and this will blind enemies and slow their advance.
