Japanese dark fantasy manga series "Tokyo Ghoul:re" features protagonist Ken Kaneki in a bad state. With that, his comrades will come to save him and to pull him out of his sleep. The current chapter will also bring joy to the viewers because of the long-awaited reunion of Hide and Touka.

Looking back, Hide operated under the name Scarecrow. He met Touka on the top of a building that overlooked Kaneki's rampant Kagune. Hide asked Touka if Kaneki was asleep. He also mentioned about the Ghouls' partnership with the humans.

During their conversation, Touka asked Hide to take off his Scarecrow mask and Hide did not hesitate to do it. However, fans were not able to get a glimpse of Hide's face. ComicBook reported that Hide's face was severely damaged when he was fighting Kaneki in the past. It was also the reason why Hide covered his face.

Another thing that fans noticed are the jagged text used to show the words from Hide. The jagged texts implied that Hide was using a voice box. Hence, this may mean that Kaneki also destroyed Hide's voice box during their fight.

The most anticipated reunion also featured a conversation between the two about Touka's love for her husband, Kaneki. Hide asked Touka regarding her love for her husband, a half-Ghoul. Touka just responded that she felt like Kaneki is always saving him. She hoped that this time, she could save her husband.

While the Ghouls and CCG are out looking for the real body of Kaneki amongst his Kagune, Touka remembered one thing. She gave her husband a wedding ring before the incident. The ring could help them find Kaneki. However, a theory states that the ring might not be able to help them find Kaneki since it is underground. A fan forum also relayed that it is possible that the bodies absorbed into the Kagune are stored in an area that could be the Dragon's eyes.

"Tokyo Ghoul: re" is a sequel to original manga "Tokyo Ghoul." The serialization started on the 2014 46th issue of Weekly Young Jump.
