Tim Tebow is certainly a man of many skills. From being a former Quarterback in the NFL to playing outfielder in Minor League Baseball, he is definitely one of the finest athletes of this generation regardless of the sport he is playing in.
And very recently, the football icon just added another title to his long list of professions, which is home decorator. And although this latest entry is not exactly sports related, Tebow still did a very good job remodeling a certain home.
The athlete appeared on the latest episode of HGTV's home renovation series "Fixer Upper," where Tebow, with the help of the local community, the Make a Wish foundation, and his own Tim Tebow foundation, transformed the Copp family's house into a safe and accessible haven for their two wheelchair-bound sons.
Melissa and Jody Copp's two young boys, 9-year-old Calan and five-year-old Andy, have a genetic condition that unfortunately has made them wheelchair-dependent. The couple is concerned that their current home's design is not suitable to the boys' needs as the place is not designed to accommodate wheelchairs, so "Fixer Upper" and Tebow team up to save the day.
The home has eventually been transformed to make moving around easier for the boys as the backyard and driveway now have plenty of space for them to move around, as does the kitchen that has been redesigned so that the entire family can have meals together comfortably. Their bedrooms have also been improved by adding grab bars that the boys can hold on to whenever they feel the need to stretch their legs.
Several trademark designs were also added by one of the show's hosts, Joanna Gaines.
Jody Copp could not contain her happiness and was very thankful to Tebow and all those who chipped in to provide a suitable home for their family.
"To see my boys, with all the hardships that they've gone through, and to know that Tim and Chip and Joanna—and everyone at Make-A-Wish -- came together to let my boys just be boys...I'm so happy," Copp said during the closing moments of the episode.
This episode of "Fixer Upper" was aptly titled "Touchdown for a Family in Need," attributing to Tebow's status as a football legend and a real-life superhero.
