The much-awaited arrival of the Xbox One X this November has made the game developers to put extra work on their current titles. The graphics of today's biggest video games will become even more breath-taking with the upgraded Xbox One version's 4K rendering, and speaking of spectacular images, CD Projekt RED's "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" easily comes to mind. Recently, the studio teased players with the anticipated improvements expected with the Xbox One X patch update.

In an Xbox Wire post, CD Projekt RED development head Jakub Kutrzuba shared the details regarding the graphics enhancements coming alongside the Xbox One X. As Microsoft's upcoming gaming hardware highlights 4K support, "The Witcher 3" will now be able to boast a number of visual improvements such as high-quality shadows, texture filters, and ambient occlusion. With the Xbox One X's power, the studio is now free to show the game in higher resolution textures, with additional performance boost.

Kutrzuba also said that "The Witcher 3" artists now have the freedom to display every intricate detail of the game with the Xbox One X's 4K feature. However, even as the Xbox One X update is centered on users with 4K television sets, CD Projekt also assured those with non-4K screens will enjoy the graphics enhancements, GameSpot reported.

"Thanks to supersampling, the leap in quality will be visible even on a 1080p screen," Kutrzuba added. As for the process that CD Projekt RED have gone through for the Xbox One X update, Kutrzuba said that the team did have much trouble due to the game itself being very compatible with Xbox One. They are free to add new graphics features without worries as Microsoft has assisted them in implementing the changes.

A similar 4K patch update was applied to "The Witcher 3" upon the release of Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro earlier this year. According to WCCFTech, the PS4 Pro update provided a "slight boost to performance" in running the game. It was also reported that the game required a checkerboard configuration to run the game in 4K resolution.

More details are expected to come before the Xbox One X release on Nov. 7.
