"The Witcher 3" has been one of the most successful releases of 2015, but the game still has some problems that players are being forced to deal with.
The good news is that CD Projekt Red, the game's developer, is now working on releasing hotfixes for the game that will hopefully get rid of those lingering problems.
First off, CD Projekt Red will be working on sending out a hotfix that will finally address the issue the game has when it comes to Steam Achievements, according to Gamepur. Some players are still dealing with the Steam Achievements for their game not working properly, and this new hotfix promises to finally get rid of that problem.
The other pertinent issue to be addressed by the hotfixes coming out for "The Witcher 3" will be the one involving the Skellige's Most Wanted quest. Due to an issue native to the game, some players were unable to finish this particular quest, but that will hopefully change with the arrival of the hotfixes.
The hotfixes will be available to all platforms of "The Witcher 3," although CD Projekt Red has yet to give players an official date for when they can expect these fixes to arrive.
In related news, "The Witcher 3" has just recently eclipsed a significant benchmark, as more than 6 million units of the game have been sold in six weeks, according to Eurogamer.
CD Projekt Red revealed that 6,014,576 copies of the game were sold by the end of June 30. It may be safe to assume the figure has gotten significantly higher since then.
Studio head Adam Badowski commented on the news, saying that while knowing how successful the game has been has made the team very happy, they also recognize it as the gaming community trusting them and indicating to them that they still have a lot to do in the future.
