One of the series newcomers might have spilled the beans about the plot of "The Walking Dead" season 8.
Daniel Newman, the actor who will portray the role of new character named Daniel in the eighth installment of the post-apocalyptic series, recently posted a photo on his Instagram account. While the photo had been immediately deleted, reports claim that those who have seen it assume that the picture could be hinting at a possible plot for "The Walking Dead" season 8.
The photo shows Newman with Andrew Lincoln's character Rick Grimes and Jeremy Palko's Andy who seem to be hanging out in Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) turf, the Savior's Sanctuary. This appears to confirm that Rick and the rest of the survivors' coalition will be confronting the ruthless Savior leader in his own comfort zone.
Based on "The Walking Dead" comic book series where the show was based from, Rick will lead the coalition toward the Sanctuary. But upon their arrival, the group will be greeted by the scheming Hilltop leader Gregory (Xander Berkeley) to stop them from pushing through with their plan. Gregory ordered his people to leave the coalition. However, there is no report yet to confirm if this will also be the case in the TV series.
Meanwhile, the show's executive producer and comic book creator Robert Kirkman wrote an emotional letter for the fans after one of the original characters had been killed off in the comics.
In the lengthy issue #167, Rick's former girlfriend, Andrea, died after being bitten by a zombie. This affected a number of fans of the comic book series, which prompted Kirkman to write an apology.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry to my fans and to myself and to Andrea. I feel like I killed a close friend. The deaths in this series are never taken lightly, they're never done with a sense of glee. They weigh on me the same way they weigh on you. These characters are very real to me, and their deaths are upsetting even to me," the comic book creator states in the letter.
"Andrea is dead and the story moves on. I don't know why this had to happen...but I know it did. I know this is another important turning point in the life of this series. I know Andrea's death with mean something, that it will resonate in the stories moving forward for years to come. But I still don't like it. It still upsets me. I loved Andrea and I will truly miss her," he also states.
AMC will air the premiere episode of "The Walking Dead" season 8 in October 2018.
