'The Sims 4' next expansion pack 'City Life' news: DLC to include supernatural theme

 EA/Maxia

"The Sims 4" is highly speculated to get a new DLC this October titled "City Life," which may allow players to move into a big city, get an apartment and explore a small open-world of connected buildings, shops and more. However, Headlines anad Global News also hints that it might come with an additional theme.

According to the report, "The Sims 3" got a supernatural theme around this time of year and the DLC introduced supernatural beings like werewolves, vampires, and multiple Halloween-themed events like costume parties and more. It is possible that "City Life" will come with a Halloween set already built into it, giving players two sets for the price of one.

Players were also able to turn themselves into such creatures like a vampire and there was a separate neighborhood specifically for the supernatural, called "Midnight Falls." Adding a similar neighborhood for "The Sims 4" would reportedly fit in well with the "City Life" add-on since it gives more city places to explore.

iDigital Times points out that the DLC will need to add in some elements from "The Sims 3" such as an open-world. This will allow players to go out from their city apartment to a city plaza, shops, and other interesting locales without having to go through a loading screen.

"City Life" is also expected to introduce city-based activities like rooftop parties. It is also expected to introduce character reputation and celebrity status. Back in "The Sims 3" players could gain reputation to the point where other Simoleans would look up at them as famous icons in the society.

EA and Maxis have yet to make any confirmations regarding any of the rumors and speculations. As such, the information regarding the content of the "City Life" DLC, the supernatural theme and the DLC's supposed release date should be taken with precaution.
