The new content and assets in the "City Living" DLC are massive that the expansion is deemed the "most difficult world" in the franchise, according to the creative team for "The Sims 4."

Speaking to reporters, producer Grant Rodiek said that the content for the new expansion has been such that the new "City Living" pack has made "The Sims 4" almost an entirely new game. The Electronic Arts executive stated, "It was just an overwhelming undertaking, and it's just like this sort of phenomenal – I'm super proud of that team, and I think they have a lot to be proud of."

The game producer adds that the creative team itself, in making the DLC, has undergone tremendous pressure to make "City Living" as perfect as possible. "There were just so many details and places to examine, and our art director was just doing passes and passes and passes and passes," says Rodiek. "'Oh god, we missed this camera angle! Oh god this shot doesn't work. Oh god!'"

However, even with the team fully focused on the development, creating the DLC from scratch is also massive work that glitches and bugs are still understandably present. According to Kotaku, the "City Living" expansion has introduced a new bug to the game. Reportedly, the new "Festivals" feature that comes with the DLC made some character Sims eat food non-stop, particularly if players make the mistake of leaving their characters near food stalls for a long time. With the bug in effect, the Sims will then automatically order food from stalls, even with a full hunger meter.

The new "City Living" DLC is the latest expansion that EA and developer Maxis have rolled out for "The Sims 4," introducing new world and house assets for Sims characters, as well as adding new features like food festivals, and even hidden and underground events like concerts, operas, and circus shows.
