The final season of the CW's supernatural drama series "The Originals" is expected to tie all loose ends from the previous chapters. The fans are hoping that season 5 will finally reunite the former lovers, Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola-King) and Niklaus "Klaus" Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan). Per the recent reports, the reunion of the two characters is pretty much confirmed, something that the "Klaroline" fans should not miss.
In an interview with US Weekly back in October 2017, Accola-King expressed her enthusiasm to work with Morgan once again for "The Originals" season 5. To note, the last time that the fans saw Caroline and Klaus together was during a crossover episode with the now-defunct CW series "The Vampire Diaries" titled "A Street Car Named Desire." This time around, the two characters will share a lot of time together in the upcoming season of "The Originals," especially that Accola-King's character will have a special mission concerning Klaus.
"I can say that I worked a lot with Joseph Morgan," the actress stated, suggesting that the viewers will get a lot of interaction between Caroline and Klaus in "The Originals" season 5. Although, this does not imply that the fans will also witness the two becoming romantically involved once again, especially that Klaus and Caroline already have children of their own. Nevertheless, the fans are hopeful that "Klaroline" would be the end-game.
Speaking of Caroline, a report from Entertainment Weekly confirmed that her twin daughters with Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) will make a special participation in "The Originals" season 5. Furthermore, the twin witches Lizzie and Josie will have an important role to play in the upcoming season, but the plot details are still being kept under wraps. It is speculated by many that the twins would become friends with Klaus' hybrid daughter, Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), given that the three are studying in the same school for the supernatural in Mystic Falls. It is also possible that Caroline's and Klaus' children would bond together as teenage witches.
"The Originals" season 5 will premiere on April 20th at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
