In the next episode of "The Librarians," Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn) and the rest of the team investigate a town plagued with Civil War ghosts.

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "And a Town Called Feud," were just recently released, and they show Baird, Ezekiel Jones (John Harlan Kim), and Jake Stone (Christian Kane) in the town's office of historical records, trying to piece together the reason for the emergence of ghosts.

Apparently, those apparitions first appeared during the town's recent Civil War reenactment. Baird says to them, "I have a theory. This whole town is based on the legend of the Loveday brothers and their mutual hatred for one another. The town even changed their name because of them. This locket is a symbol of their story."

Apparently, the spirits of the Loveday brothers did not move on to the next life because of their feud with each other. Their energies were supposedly trapped in a magical locket, but they have now been mysteriously unleashed.

Baird further explains his theory by postulating about the connection between the locket and the two brothers, "This artifact is fueled by the hate and anger of these two brothers who never wanted to be reunited. So reunite the two halves of this locket against the brothers' wishes, and what will happen?" It remains to be seen if the team will be able to contain the angry ghosts.

In the last episode, Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth) went to the town of Havenport for a vacation, but she ended up saving it from a vindictive fairy that was trapped by the mayor. The fairy forgave the mayor and the town, and it eventually went on its way.

"The Librarians" season 4 episode 9 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 8 p.m. EST on the TNT network.
