Taye Diggs will be guest-starring in the upcoming series of "The Good Wife," which makes the sixth season that much exciting.

E! News confirmed the news from Diggs himself. And the better news is that Diggs won't just be guesting for one episode or two episodes, but in multiple episodes in the upcoming season of CBS' hit show with Julianna Margulies.

Coming from the TNT drama series "Murder in the First," Diggs will play an equity partner at Lockhart/Gardner. His character's name is Dean Levine-Wilkins and he is described as meticulous and talented. He will join Diane Lockhart at Florrick/Agos, the firm run by Alicia and Cary.

The people behind "The Good Wife" expressed their excitement with getting Diggs to guest-star on their show. Showrunners Michelle and Robert King said in a joint statement: "We couldn't be more excited to have Taye on the show. We've been huge fans for years, and love his ability to play comedy and drama with equal ease."

Diggs himself is just as excited too. He tweeted,"Hyped to be joining the stellar cast of the extraordinary @TheGoodWife_CBS."

The previous season of "The Good Wife" was deemed to be the best one yet and high expectations are set for season 6. Hopefully the new season of "The Good Wife" will deliver and not disappoint fans.

It can be recalled that Alicia left her firm and split from her husband. She also had to deal with the death of her boss and former lover. Diane also left Lockhard/Gardner and will join Florrick/Agos. In addition, Alicia was asked if she could run for the state's attorney.

To get all your answers, tune in to CBS on Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. and catch the all new season.
