The BBC is launching "The Fall" season 3 this Sept. 29 in the UK. Unfortunately, as of the moment, no premiere date has been confirmed for the U.S. where the series releases on Netflix.

According to a report from TV Wise, the third season will pick up immediately following the season 2 finale which saw Spector (Jamie Dornan) critically wounded after sustaining a gunshot. Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) still needs him alive, and it is hinted she will be able to save his life in the season 3 premiere.

Popsugar also reports that, while there have been plans for a fourth season, which may further explore Gibson's work in the PSNI (Poland Service of Northern Ireland), it has been stated that season 3 is the final season for the show. The report states that the third season will conclude all open storylines.

"There's quite remarkable turns in the third season that I really genuinely think people won't see coming that are hugely exciting," explained Dornan to the fans during a panel, as per the report, hinting that even though only five episodes are expected, there will be a few twists and turns before the series ends.

Actor Archie Panjabi, who portrayed pathologist Paula Reed Smith in seasons 1 and 2, will not be returning. Despite this, season 3 will be introducing a few new characters played by Krister Henriksson, Ruth Bradley, Aidan McArdle, Richard Coyle, and Aisling Bea. Full details regarding their characters have yet to be released.

While the show will launch in the UK by the end of September, no release date has yet been announced for the US. According to the report, it is possible that the season will be launched on Netflix before 2017, possibly during November or December. The BBC has yet to comment on whether or not this rumor may be true.
