There is good news for "The Elder Scrolls" players as a new downloadable content (DLC) for "The Elder Scrolls Online" will be available in 2018, along with two other DLCs.

In the "Game Director Letter" released on Friday, Dec. 22, ZeniMax Online Studios or "ZOS" has announced that the first DLC for "The Elder Scrolls Online" will be coming in 2018. Titled "The Elder Scrolls Online: Dragon Bones," the DLC will be dungeon-based with a Nordic theme.

"Coming with 'Dragon Bones' is an update full of quality-of-life improvements and additions," said ZOS in their letter. "[The DLC] will include at least one long-awaited feature that everyone who cares about their characters' appearance will love." In addition, "The Elder Scrolls Online" players can expect two more DLCs to be released later in 2018.

"It's not always about new content, of course – we'll be spending some time adding more improvements and fixing any outstanding issues and bugs," added ZOS. "Stay tuned for the PTS patch notes for updates on those and, obviously, keep your comments coming on the forums and elsewhere. We value your feedback and take it very seriously."

ZOS also took the time to look back on what happened with their 2017 on the letter and mentioned how they were able to invite two million more players for the "The Elder Scrolls Online" by releasing "Morrowind."

"This was the first time we added anything larger than a DLC to the game, and the reception (and success) of 'ESO: Morrowind' was huge," said ZOS. "Many of you returned to the game to check it out, and of course, many new players started their journey in Tamriel based on the excitement of exploring such an iconic – and nostalgic – location."

Additionally, ZOS took the chance to thank the fans who were with them during their community events at PAX East in March, Pax West in September, and E3 in June, among many others. "We hope to see you at an event in 2018," added ZOS.
