However, the second baseman has played a major part in the Rangers taking a 2-0 lead in this ALDS so far, and has helped put them on the verge of progressing in the Playoffs at the expense of the Blue Jays.
Odor scored twice in Game 2; one of which was a dramatic tie-breaking run in the 14th inning of the marathon game in Toronto, to put the Rangers on the way to a 6-4 victory to take complete control of the best of five series.
Shortstop Elvis Andrus has said ahead of the game: ''Right now, he's in a position that he feels good, and he feels his confidence level is high and he can do whatever,'' according to Fox Sports.
For today's clincher, Martin Perez will go to the mound for the Rangers, and opposite him for the Blue Jays will be Marco Estrada, who is 13-8 and has been immense since the All Star break.
Blue Jays manager John Gibbons has said about today's crunch game: ''We need a big outburst with the bats, score a lot of runs. We score in bunches. That's kind of our trademark. ... Hopefully we can do it one time, you know, catch our breath a little bit and gain a little confidence, maybe we can hang in this thing.''
Whether Toronto can respond in this win or go home game for them remains to be seen.
