Zlatan Ibrahimovic confident enough to put himself in similar league to Jesus, according to PSG teammate

Marco Veratti revealed that winning the Ligue 1 title for Paris St Germaine in 2013 required more than skill and confidence. The player said that there was a bit of divine inspiration involved in spurring the team to their victory.

Specifically, Veratti said in an interview with FourFourTwo, striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was able to pull up the entire team's mood by confidently placing his abilities in the same league as Jesus.

Ibrahimovic reportedly went over to a tense and nervous Carlo Ancetti, team manager, before the game was supposed to start. Ibrahimovic proceeded to question Ancetti about his faith and whether he believed in Jesus Christ.

When Ancetti replied in the affirmative, Zlatan told Ancetti: "Good, so you believe in me. You can relax!"

Prior to that, Veratti said, the club had been somewhat lacking in faith.

The Ligue 1 title was the first for the PSG team in 19 years and Ibrahimovic played a very crucial role in that engagement. He managed to give the team 30 goals, effectively clinching the much-coveted Ligue 1 title for them.

Veratti had only praise words for his teammate in the interview. "[H]e has a lot of confidence," he told FourFourTwo. Veratti also expressed his belief that confidence is instrumental to Ibrahimovic's skill, and it helps him to be a "great player."

In the interview, Veratti revealed Ibrahimovic's commitment to training. The 22-year-old described the striker as very holistic and comprehensive with his training. Veratti said Ibrahimovic has a creativity and coordination that "very few players have".
