'Street Fighter 5' dlc release date news: Story mode coming this month

 Capcom

Capcom, game publisher and developer, has posted an update for its fans on the upcoming story mode for "Street Fighter 5." The upcoming cinematic story is called "A Shadow Falls" and will be made available before the month ends.

"Big news today! June will be a huge month for Street Fighter V as we introduce the biggest update to the game yet. Tons and tons of new content is in the pipeline and we can't wait to tell you all about what's in the works. But first, hit the jump and let's talk about what's coming to all SFV players in late June," the company said in its latest blog post.

The upcoming expansion pack will offer another three to four hours of game content and depicts the battle between Shadaloo evil organization and the World Warriors. The evil empire has released seven "Black Moons," which makes M. Bison more powerful, and players need to collect pieces of an artifact in order to stop darkness from taking over. A classic fight between evil versus good.

Additionally, all six DLC characters will be playable in the story mode, bringing Balrog, Urien and Juri.  The three characters are not available aside from this game mode, and will be released within the next few months.

The announcement also mentioned that Fight Money can be earned on the upcoming story mode, where two levels of difficulty will be available, namely Normal and Extra modes. Players can earn up to 80,000 FM on the two modes, 30,000 FM on Normal and 50,000 on Extra. Extra mode is available once Normal mode has been completed.

Capcom also took the opportunity to inform its fans that there will be changes in its in-game currency system. Zenny will not be introduced anymore and the game will simply use real-world money for transactions on the PlayStation Store and Steam store.

Fight Money can still be used for gameplay items, character, and other DLC like stages and costumes.

"Street Fighter 5" is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
