Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the upcoming Steven Spielberg movie "Ready Player One" on Facebook Live.

The new clip opens with Wade Watts, played by Tye Sheridan from "X-Men: Apocalypse," saying he got his name from an idea of his father that it sounds like one of a superhero's alter-ego, "like Peter Parker or Bruce Banner." He continues to say that both his parents died when he was young, forcing him to end up in the densely populated land of Columbus, Ohio.

Set in 1945, he says "there is nowhere else to go," at least for his body. His mind, however, could go someplace more exciting, the Oasis.

The all-new virtual universe provides the entertainment that people need, but could not afford to get in the actual world they live in.

"It's the only place that feels I could mean anything," Wade says in the clip.

Created by James Halliday, the virtual world apparently hides an Easter egg. When the imaginary world's inventor died, he announced a worldwide hunt for the egg. Whoever finds it will inherit half a trillion dollars, as well as total control of the Oasis.

Suddenly, the search for the Easter egg becomes an all-out war, with everyone believing possession of the Oasis means they could take control of the future.

Surprisingly for Watts and the rest of the world, he turns out to be good in the quest of finding the egg, but that also attracts a lot of competition to target him and get him out of the game.

Based on the 2011 Ernest Cline debut novel, "Ready Player One" is set mostly in the virtual world. Apart from Sheridan, it also stars Olivia Cooke as Samantha Cook/Art3mis, Hannah John Kamen as F'Nale Zandor, T.J. Miller as i-R0k, Ben Mendelsohn as Nolan Sorrento, and a few others.

"Ready Player One" is slated to hit theaters on March 30, 2018.
