Steven Curtis Chapman releases latest album, re:creation

Multi-platinum selling artist and five-time Grammy Award winner Steven Curtis Chapman was at NASA this week to launch his latest album.

Re:creation is Chapman's seventeenth album and offers fans a positive blend of familiar songs like "Speechless" or "Dive", and new material.

As part of the album launch, Chapman was treated to a direct link up with two American astronauts at the space station, giving them the opportunity to chat about the new release.

The upbeat nature of the album reflects the changing season within the Chapman family. Three years after losing their daughter Maria, the family feel like the sun is starting to rise again as they continue their journey of healing and restoration.

A busy time lies ahead for Steven as he hits the road in September for a 23-city "Songs & Stories Tour".

The artist continues to enjoy a global following, having sold over 10 million records, including two platinum albums and eight gold albums.

In his illustrious career, spanning more than two decades, he has been awarded 56 Dove Awards, more than any other artist to date.
