Just a few more days and gamers will know if the previously rumored Steam Summer Sale for this year will truly happen. Fans are expecting the sale event to start on June 23.

It was reported last month that Steam will conduct its yearly summer sale, which is rumored to happen from June 23 at 9:45 a.m. PT till July 4, at 10 a.m. PT. This is according to a leak posted by a Reddit user named MrFreemanBBQ . However, to this date, there is still no confirmation coming from Valve.

VG247 said that the poster has been known in the community for bringing in leaks on different Steam sale events, which include last year's Summer Sale.

Fans are aware that the company offers big discounts on a regular basis, but special deals offer additional discounts to many games that bring the prices down even further. These include the Daily Deals, which last the whole day, and the Flash Sales, which give huge discounts in a matter of hours.

However, the two offers were not included during the Winter Sale last year and the Autumn Sale early this year. Fans are hoping that the upcoming still-unannounced sale will not be similar to the previous two.

Just like before, fans are speculating that the rumored sale will offer a wide range of titles, from AAA games down to the classic games. Some are even hoping that it will have something really good since gamers on the PlayStation console are about to receive top-caliber games with announced sequels, like "NBA 2016," Resident Evil HD Remastered," "Watch Dogs," and "Infamous Second Son," Breathecast reported.

It is also rumored that Valve is keeping an eye on games being announced at the ongoing Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016, which can help the game distributor decide on the different games to offer.

For now, fans can only wait for the date's arrival.
