Steam Summer Sale 2014 begins: Daily deals, game discounts galore for two weeks

Are you someone who prefers playing games on a high-powered PC rather than with popular gaming consoles today like PS4 and Xbox One? If you are a PC gamer, you'll definitely know that playing on a computer gives quite a different experience too. And if you also know better, you should start saving money now as the Steam Summer Sale 2014 is headed your way.

Users in the NEOGAF forum shared the information that the sale will already start on June 19 and will end on June 30. That's two weeks of discounted gaming goods from your favorite games. Valve hasn't confirmed the summer sale yet, reports Huffington Post. However, it is always assumed that the annual summer sale will run the same time every year. It's just a tad bit earlier this 2014.

Eurogamer has also confirmed this news, which further proves that the sale will start in two days, saying "Don't eat for eight days because on 19th June the Steam Summer Sale begins. It will run until 28th June with an encore that pushes it to 30th June."

The unofficial announcement of the date of the sale is good news for every PC gamer. This is because Valve does not make an announcement days before the event. They usually do so a day or two before the sale starts. Now, gamers can have more days to save money and splurge. It's actually a one-time off sale every year that a gamer is waiting for.

The Steam Summer Sale will offer daily deals, discounted items, long and short-term offers and many more. However, "time is of the essence" during the Steam sale. Offers can only last for a day and it will change the next day. Most often, after the items has been listed for sale, it will go back to its original price again. So gamers really need to make the purchase right away.

What items or games will be on sale? That is still unknown, but what's certain is that "user votes and public demand" impact the items and games that will go on sale.
