St. Louis Rams wide receiver Brian Quick is trying to bounce back from serious shoulder injuries last season and have been showing great progress as training camps nears.

Quick was the Rams leading receiver last season until he went down after suffering a torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder last October making him miss the rest of the season.

Because of the degree of the injury Rams head coach Jeff Fisher was even unable to provide a timetable for the 26-year-old's return, ESPN reported.

But Quick is already working out just one week into the Rams' organized team activities and is showing great progress.

"Brian Quick is probably the one we have to watch. As I mentioned to you before, we'll have to watch him, keep him out of contact, but he's running routes against air. He's catching and progressing nicely," Fisher said.

Despite the progress, Quick will not be returning anytime soon as he tries to take things slowly.

"[I'm] just easing my way in and just waiting to get in and go and get on the field with everybody and starting to participate a little more," he stated.

"It's always hard coming out here and seeing these guys work and you have to sit down and watch them. You want to be out there so bad but you have to just be patient," Quick added.

Quick only had 29 catches for 458 yards and four touchdowns in his first two seasons with St. Louis.

Last season he was on a roll having 25 catches for 375 yards and three touchdowns and had the chance to surpass his career totals in just one season before the injuries.

"That's what really kind of got me. It was pretty bad. But like I said, it's what my mindset is going into it. Anybody can give up and think it's over," Quick said about the injury according to ESPN.

Quick added that he has worked hard with his trainers during the offseason and stated, "I know that when it's time I'm going to be ready."
