Several years after it was first announced, "Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn" is finally reported to be developed for the Nintendo Switch. "Shaq-Fu" is a fighting game that stars basketball icon Shaquille O'Neal, and was first released in 1994. The game first made a scene in its Indiegogo campaign back in 2014 and was officially announced on the Game Awards last 2015. Since then, no word about the title and its development has been made, until recently, when one of the game makers finally shared some light about the long-awaited title.

Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch told Nintendo Everything that from its original plan for the Wii U, they decided it to release it for Nintendo Switch.

However, if fans of the game can still remember; "Shaq-Fu" was supposed to come out on the Wii-U. There is still no word regarding the game being cancelled from its original console, but it is definitely coming to Switch. Fans of the game still have to wait whether the title will come out for both systems or not. Nevertheless, Karch confirms that "Shaq-Fu: A Legendary Reborn" is definitely in development and fans can look forward to it very soon. Other than "Shaq-Fu," Karch added that Saber Interactive is also planning to launch several other titles for the Nintendo Switch.

"Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn" release date is still to be followed. So far, no word about the official release date has been made. The game is still currently in development for the Nintendo Switch under Saber Interactive.
