In the next episode of "Shameless," Carl Gallagher (Ethan Cutkosky) gets roped in by Kassidi (Sammi Hanratty) to marry her before he leaves for military school.

The trailers and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Church of Gay Jesus," were just released recently, and they show Carl coming home from his Uber driving job, only to discover his clothes ripped up and lying on the ground.

He follows his torn clothes that appear to be a trail leading back to the back of the house. The clothes strangely lead up to the top of their American flagpole where his military attire is shredded and tied. All of a sudden, Kassidi appears and tells Karl that he shouldn't go and enroll in the military. Instead, he needs to stay behind and take care of her.

"Kassidi! This is not a joke. I am going back to military school," Karl says to his young fiancee sternly. However, she gets up to her feet and tells him angrily, "I hate you!" She storms back into his house and locks it. She claims that he would not be able to take care of her, but Karl affirms that they would see each other once a week. Kassidi then asks him that before he leaves, he should marry her. "Okay, fine," he says to her as they kiss.

In the last episode, Karl's dad Frank (William H. Macy) got caught by Canadian authorities while he was helping Middle Eastern refugees cross the border into Canada. However, he was able to escape when the police car crashed into a moose which knocked out the cops. He fled on foot and was able to return to the US.

"Shameless" season 8 episode 10 will hit the airwaves on Sunday, Jan. 14, at 9 p.m. EST on the Showtime network.
