Scientists should seek God instead of aliens that could nowhere be found, says Ken Ham

Even though scientists have gone to great lengths in the search for extraterrestrial beings, their efforts have so far proven futile because "none of the 2,325 confirmed alien worlds so far appears to be like Earth," according to Answers in Genesis founder Ken Ham.

Writing on his website, Ham says those who share his biblical worldview are not surprised Earth stands out in the galaxy, because God "uniquely created and formed [it] to be inhabited."

On the other hand, those who hold a naturalistic, evolutionary worldview are facing a big problem because science's failure to discover aliens only prove God's handiwork is "special."

"Of course, this is exactly what biblical creationists believe! If evolution is true, Earth should not just be one planet out of many where life managed to evolve. In this view, Earth cannot be special — life just randomly happened to originate here. Yet Earth continues to appear to be uniquely suited and designed for life while other planets are barren and inhospitable," says Ham.

Researchers feel that Earth is undergoing a "long-standing cosmic solitude" because there are no Earth-like worlds to be found.

Ham attests otherwise. The creationist says humanity is not alone in the cosmos because God is always watching over His people.

"Because of the great mercy and grace of the Creator, we are able to have fellowship with Him," explains Ham. "The Creator actually came to this 'pale blue dot' as the God-man, died on the Cross in our place, took our penalty of death upon Himself, and rose from the dead. He now offers eternal life and forgiveness from sin to all who place their faith and trust in Him."

Ham adds that people are constantly being upheld by God. So instead of scientists wasting time in the search for a twin to Earth and intelligent alien life, Ham suggests instead that "these researchers should seek the Creator who loves them and died for them."
