'Scandal' season 4 premiere spoilers: Olivia Pope returns to DC, Harrison won't be back

After the wait, "Scandal" Season 4 will arrive in a week's time. Fans of the scandalous TV series should prepare for tons of changes coming in the new season.

Tony Goldwyn and Bellamy Young spilled to Glamour magazine that there are so many different things going on on the set of "Scandal" Season 4.

"It's so different! Everything is different," Young said.

"The [writers and producers] have blown our minds with the way they've reinvented everything, but they've managed to keep it at the same intensity level too," Goldwyn said. He also added that "everything's darker" and his relationship with the First Lady has "gone to a new place."

In light of that, Olivia Pope will return to Washington D.C. after jet-setting with Jake. His father Rowan Pope, played by Joe Morton, spilled to E! News, "I think if Olivia returns, he's going to be kind of concerned about that, wondering why she's back and what for and how that's going to work out. I also think what's going to happen is people are going to find out what I did and sparks are going to fly."

As for Harrison Wright, he won't be back this season because ABC already fired the actor who plays him, Columbus Short. This is due to his domestic violence troubles. He did confirm it to TMZ, saying that he is exiting the show after three years.

"Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast..." he said.

Another thing to watch for in "Scandal" Season 4 is the numerous guest stars coming. The list includes Kelen Coleman, Josh Randall, Mary McCormack, Portia de Rossi, Matthew Del Negro, and Sonya Wagler.

"Scandal" Season 4 will air on Sept. 28. It's first episode is entitled "Randy, Red, Superfreak and Julia." The premiere episode takes place two and a half months after the Season 3 finale. If you miss the premiere episode, be sure to watch it online via live stream on ABC.
