Samsung is planning to give consumers a new tablet to consider getting and all this is said to be happening next month.

Samsung is reportedly set to release a new tablet on May 1, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A. The said tablet is a mid-range device that will come in two different screen sizes. There will also be a S-Pen variant which should somehow be familiar to folks who own or were able to try out the Samsung Galaxy Note.

The new tablet is touted to be a perfect fit for any member of the family, safe to use even for kids. All this is credited to the Kids Mode feature, providing young ones a fun and safe environment without parents having to worry.

Aside from that, the tablet gives users a flexible personalized tablet experience in Multi User mode.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A will come in an 8-inch and 9.7-inch variant (1024x768 display). Other than that, the other specs are practically the same. The specs in mention include a 1.2 GHz quadcore Snapdragon 410 Qualcomm processor backed by 1.5 GB of RAM. The tablet will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS installed.

Other specs that Samsung Galaxy Tab A comes with include a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera and a choice between a 16GB and 32GB internal storage. Further storage options are given through 100GB of free storage on the OneDrive, good for two years of use.

The tablet will also include some pre-installed Redmond company apps, like Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

With regards to pricing, the 8-inch variant will reportedly retail for about $230 while the larger 9.7-inch display will cost around $300. The S-Pen variant will cost about $350.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A can be pre-ordered via the Samsung website although they can also be found on leading online retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. Actual delivery of the new tablet will start on May 1, 2015.
