For the time being, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are in the limelight. So with the two devices in focus, would anyone care about what comes next among Samsung's planned smartphones next?
Surely the curious people who would want to know are the ones who may be weighing their options on whether to wait or get the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge. And for them to be convinced to pass on the said devices, the next one should have some impressive specs.
Word has it that Samsung may be working on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and that it could come out be announced this December, 2015 (as claimed by ValueWalk). In the same report, it was said that if it does come out this December, the Galaxy S7 may likely be available starting January, 2016.
If you think of it, that seems a bit hard to believe. Considering that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have just been out, the coming of the S7 could come in a bit too early.
For the record, there is another claim by the International Business Times that it could debut by March or April of 2016. Now that could be feasible but again, just rumors.
So what is the fuss about the Samsung Galaxy S7? Is it that good?
Apparently the Samsung Galaxy S7 is something touted to give the iPhone 7 some competition. With Apple expected to release the iPhone 7, it looks like Samsung is keeping tabs and making sure it doesn't end up trailing Apple when it comes to unveiling new phones.
What will the Galaxy S7 have to offer? Per rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a true octa-core device (clocked at 3GHz) and have 6GB of RAM. It will come with a 4K display which may be part of the whole foldable screen technology that early rumors have been suggesting concerning the said device.
The S7 is also rumored to carry a 20MP rear camera with a rotary system, touch ID and sophisticated retina scanning. It may also come with wireless charging, something that already exists in the Galaxy S6.
So would those be rumored specs be enough to categorize it along the ranks of Apple's highly touted iPhones?
