According to speculations, the new AT&T-exclusive Active version of the Galaxy S7 will be offered in at least two color schemes, the traditional green camo variant and a new "desert camo" gold edition.

Noted tipster Evan Blass posted a teaser for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, depicting the flagship in its rugged form with a gold color scheme. Meanwhile, it is also confirmed that the new Galaxy S7 Active will also come in a muted, traditional green camouflage color.

While Samsung and AT&T have yet to provide details on the Galaxy S7 Active, the leaks that have cropped up may already be for working versions of the device. In addition, Blass himself is noted for coming out with confirmed early details on upcoming devices.

Meanwhile, although the specs sheet for the Galaxy S7 Active has yet to come out, it can be expected that the upcoming iteration will share the same internals as the base model Galaxy S7. This means that the new iteration will offer top-tier specs like a Snapdragon 820 processor and at least 4GB of RAM. The IP6X rating of the lineup is also expected to be carried over to the Galaxy S7 Active, which may also be reinforced with MIL-STD rating.

On the outside, the Galaxy S7 Active resembles much of the previous Active versions from AT&T. The premium glass-and-metal look has been replaced by tough-looking, rugged rubber chassis, and the capacitive keys have also been swapped with large, waterproof physical buttons. There is also what seems to be a fingerprint scanner on the bottom.

While a release date has not been set yet, rumors suggest that AT&T is expected to announce the Galaxy S7 Active by next month, or as early as June 10, based on the supposed press renders.
