Galaxy Note 4 vs Note Edge specs, features comparison: Which Samsung phablet is better?

Samsung unveiled its two new phablets, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, on the first day of IFA 2014.

The Samsung phablets offer top-of-the-line specs and features that turn the heads of many at the trade show. Below is the comparison between the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge announced at the IFA 2014.

Screen Display

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7-inch screen panel with Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440) Super AMOLED pixel resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge packs a 5.6-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels; however, the screen of the Note Edge is curved on the sides.

Processor

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in two variants packing different processors – one is powered by quad-core 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, while the other variant includes a 64-bit enabled octo-core Exynos 5433 chipset with quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex A57 and quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A53 CPUs. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will be powered by quad-core 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor.

Internal Storage

The fourth generation of Samsung Galaxy Note packs a 32GB of internal storage, while the Galaxy Note Edge is available 32GB or 64GB storage variants. Both phablets come with a micro SD slot that includes for up to 64GB for additional storage.

Operating System

Both smartphones run with the 4.4.4 version of the Kitkat OS.

Camera

The Samsung phablets includes a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 8x digital zoom and a 3.7 MP front-facing camera.

Battery

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 3,220mAh battery, while the Galaxy Note Edge will be supported by 3,000 mAh battery pack.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in October on all major U.S. carriers, including U.S. Cellular, and retailers. The Galaxy Note Edge will be available for purchase later this fall with no definite date yet.
