Early 2018 is the time for Samsung to unveil its latest lineup of mid-range smartphones. According to the latest reports, the South Korean tech giant is gearing up for the comeback of the Galaxy A8 handset. Leaked photos suggest that the new A8 will sport an almost all-screen display with slimmer bezels. A major upgrade in the camera department is also expected via dual-lens camera setup.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 was first introduced in 2015, extending the collection of A-series mid-tier devices. The A8 was noticeably absent this year when Samsung only launched the 2017 versions of Galaxy A5 and A7. Still, the company is reportedly planning to re-launch A8 next year, which may also feature the same all-metal casing.

Based on the recently leaked photos of Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), the mid-range smartphone will have thinner bezels compared to its predecessor, giving way for an almost edge-to-edge Infinity Display. This premium full view display is the defining feature of the current Samsung flagship devices, Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8. Specifically, the Galaxy A8 (2018) will sport a 5.7-inch screen with total pixel resolution of 1080x1920.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) is said to be the perfect gadget to take high-quality selfie snaps, thanks to the front-facing dual camera. The rear camera is also expected to receive dual-lens setup, according to Digit. To note, the 2016 version of the handset has a 16MP primary image sensor and an 8MP selfie shooter.

It is expected that Samsung will unbox at least three Galaxy A series 2018 smartphones early next year. Aside from the Galaxy A8, the Galaxy A5 and A7 will get a major refresh as well. The devices are speculated to follow the trend in current premium handsets with taller 18:9 display ratio. Samsung has yet to reveal an exact release date for the Galaxy A8 (2018), although it is most likely to be unveiled at the Consumers Electronics Show (CES).
