Reality star Sadie Robertson opened up about bullying, boyfriends, and other subjects in a recent interview with US Weekly.

The 17-year-old revealed that abstaining from premarital sex is not any easier for her just because she is a Christian, and that she has developed a friendship with the daughter of "Dancing with the Stars" alum, Candace Cameron-Bure.

Cameron-Bure is also a devout Christian, and Robertson said she has connected with 16-year-old Natasha Bure. "We went to a concert together; she invited me to spend the night on Halloween and watch scary movies," Robertson shared.

Her best friend, however, is her 18-year-old boyfriend, Blake Coward.

"We've been dating for 10 months now, so he's like a part of the family," she said. "We're always together. When I'm in Louisiana, it's a seven-hour drive away, and when I'm in L.A., it's more like 32 hours.

"Basically, we're best friends. He's a great guy who really has a heart searching for God. He's not perfect but he strives to be, and that's all I can ask for. He's really good at being kind."

Although the couple shares photos embracing one another, the "Duck Dynasty" teen affirmed that she is saving sex for marriage.

"People are like, 'It must be easy for you because you're Christian.' That doesn't make it any easier for me," she explained. "And it's something a couple really has to decide together.

"I don't really date guys who don't feel the same way. It's going to be way harder if we went into a relationship having different opinions about that. So going into it, Blake felt the same way. He's raised in the same kind of family as I am, the same kind of church."

Although she appears on two reality shows, has her own clothing line, and a newly released book, Robertson said that things weren't always so positive.

"In middle school, a couple people were really tough and rude," she admitted. "It affected me. I was really insecure and quiet with most people but full of personality at home. After a year, I read this Bible verse in Hebrews 10:35: 'Do not lose your confident trust in the Lord because it will be rewarded.'

"When I started to apply that verse, it changed for me," Robertson continued. "So I really just blocked out what anybody said because I knew who I was and I knew who God made me to be."

Sadie Robertson's "Live Original" is out now.
