Now that "Runaways" has just concluded, fans and viewers will be glad to know that the coming-of-age-superhero show will be returning for a second season later this year.

The Marvel adventure-drama was picked up by Hulu for another multi-episode installment. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, co-showrunner Stephanie Savage teased about the upcoming season. "The hostel [the Runaways hide in] is obviously a huge part of the comic and that's something we're really looking forward to bringing to life."

The Runaways, who include Karolina Dean (Virginia Gardner), Chase Stein (Gregg Sulkin), and a few others, are now on the run, and they may very likely be headed for their secret hideout, as based from the comics.

Savage further hinted, "There's still some design questions that will need to be thought of and figured out, but it'll be really interesting. The show will feel very different next year. We'll see exactly what form the structure takes, but they're definitely going to have a hideout next year."

Savage's writing partner Josh Schwartz also commented about the storylines for the next installment. He said that the kids' narratives might be highlighted more than the parents' ones. Since they have run away, there can be more adventures that the writers can explore. Nevertheless, he stated that they would go back to the parents' storylines now and then as they are still somewhat integral to the story.

In the season finale, the parents discovered that there was something living in the deep hole that was drilled in the construction site. Apparently, Jonah (Julian McMahon) knew about it, but he did not tell them. As to what the object or creature was, it still remained a mystery. Fans can expect the issue to be addressed in the sophomore run.

"Runaways" season 2 is expected to return sometime in 2018. Stay tuned for more updates as the situation unfolds.
