Beautiful floral floats, bands, and equines are expected to march for two hours in a five mile stretch.

"The inspiring stories social media campaign is meant to uphold the joy and hope that individuals bring to those around them just as Louis Zamperini did," said Tournament of Roses President Rich Chinen. "Louis was an exemplary man whose life story illustrated the strength of the human spirit in many ways and we hope this campaign brings light to many other wonderful stories."

This year's Grand Marshall is the late Louis Zamperini, Olympian and World War II prisoner. Despite his passing, this year's Tournament of Roses is dedicated to honoring him as the Grand Marshal of the 2015 Parade.

The late Zamperini wrote his life story "Devil at My Heels," which was later documented in best-selling book "Unbroken," which became a New York Times best-seller. The book was then released as a movie of the same title.

Float judges will be Els Hazenberg, Steven Wood Schmader and Eddie Zaratsian. The judges will grant awards based on creativity, imagination, beauty, use of theme, humor, dramatic impact and entertainment value.

The winning floats will be announced by Tournament of Roses Rich Chinen. "The Rose Parade float judges bring diverse skills to the judging process that will greatly assist them in the difficult task of judging each of the incredible floral masterpieces that are designed, built and decorated by teams who put heart and soul into each presentation," said Chinen.
