"Rocket League" continues its unprecedented and highly successful run, with the game now topping over five million downloads.

As remarkable as the five million number truly is, an arguably more astounding fact about what the game has managed to accomplish thus far is that it reached that figure in less than a month. For those who may not remember, "Rocket League" was first launched on July 7 and it has since been on an incredible roll, according to IGN.

The game is available for both personal computer (PC) and PlayStation 4. Having two available platforms has certainly helped the title reach its full potential.

It's also worth noting that "Rocket League" has managed to pull off this landmark feat despite the fact that it has required a patch to fix some highly noticeable bugs. Some bugs include invisible cars being on the playing field and even matchmaking issues between players. According to a report from PlayStation Lifestyle, Psyonix, the game's developer, is planning to address these problems with a patch due out next week.

Despite suffering through some problems that may have threatened to derail "Rocket League's" success early on, the game has managed to thrive. A new map is coming out to commemorate the five million downloads achievement.

The new map, set to be called Utopia Coliseum, is going to be the newest playground for "Rocket League" enthusiasts. As the name suggests, the new map looks very much like a Roman coliseum, only with a track for cars. At the moment, not much else is known about the newest "Rocket League" battleground, but Destructoid reported that it will be free of charge.

Utopia Coliseum does not have a specific release date as of yet, but Psyonix has indicated that it will be out within the next few weeks.

For "Rocket League" players still looking for more new content, there will be two new car skins made available soon, although they will be paid downloadable content (DLC).
