While a specific premiere date for season 3 of "Rick and Morty" has yet to be confirmed, it is said that the show is already on its way to completion and that it may start earlier than expected. Meanwhile, the franchise is rumored to expand with a "Rick and Morty" VR game.

In an interview with Justin Roiland, the creator hinted that the production is well under way.

Roiland teased, "Well we're well into the thick of it. We're deep into the season and I always like to underpromise and overdeliver but I do really feel like, the episodes we've got in the hopper are some of the best we've ever done, I think."

Meanwhile, some of the early episodes for season 3 may already have been finished and are just waiting for release, since supposed synopses for season 3 season 3 episodes have already made their way online.

The success of "Rick and Morty" has already established quite a fanbase, and the show going into a third season is already a showcase. Meanwhile, the franchise is rumored to expand anew, as another game is reportedly in the works. Interesting to note is that the next "Rick and Morty" game may be set in virtual reality.

TechnoBuffalo reports that a new game, "Virtual Rick-ality," is expected to come out for the HTC Vive. The new title seems to be a "Rick and Morty" simulator, where the duo gets to jump into portals and explore the universe, much like the original adaptation. There is still no date for the release of the game, though there's a possibility that season 3 and the VR game may launch just months or weeks of each other, and may even release simultaneously. Meanwhile, fans can check out "Virtual Rick-ality" at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con.
