Remake of the Nintendo Game Boy classic edition to arrive soon this year

Gamers worldwide will soon get their hands on the remake version of Nintendo's original Game Boy for only $100. Video game peripheral manufacturer Hyperkin will soon produce remakes of the Game Boy Classic Edition.

Hyperkin announced the product during the CES in Las Vegas. The company in the meantime is calling the revamped version Ultra Game Boy. The original Game Boy was first released in 1989 by Nintendo and was discontinued in 2003. The upcoming product will be manufactured and distributed by Hyperkin.

The Ultra Game Boy's price tag is $100 or £75. The handheld gaming device will run with a built-in battery that can be recharged with a USB cable. Players will also be able to play in the dark with the gadget's back-lit LCD display.

The upgraded version of the Game Boy will also allow gamers play their old game cartridges or games. This means people can enjoy "Pokemon Red," "Super Mario Bros.," and more games with the remake.

Hyperkin is yet to announce the release date of the product. According to reports, the product will soon hit stores worldwide in the late summer of 2018.

There are no further announcements from Hyperkin if new video games are being developed for the Ultra Game Boy.

With this news, many people, tech critics, and publications are speculating success for the release of the Ultra Game Boy. The improved console versions of the NES and SNES Classic Edition were a big hit to millions of gamers worldwide. The NES was distributed back in 2016 and the SNES in 2017.

With Hyperkin announcing the remake of the Game Boy Classic Edition, there are people wondering if Nintendo plans to revive any of its handheld devices. There were reports last year about the possibility of a Nintendo 64 remake.
