Ubisoft has just released a new DLC pack, "Operation Dust Line," for "Rainbow Six: Siege." Now, speculations suggest that the next DLC will add Japanese Special Forces operators.

According to Crossmap, in a recent interview, Xavier Marquis, creative director of "Rainbow Six: Siege," hinted at possible new content for the DLC packs.

Marquis said that the plan is to roll out expansion content every now and then, but in regular intervals: "We plan on having new major content updates every 3-4 months with regular title updates in between," the creative director added. Meanwhile, the industry follower surmised that the next expansion content will add Japanese operators as attackers and defenders.

This coincides with an earlier prediction by GameRant. According to the industry observer, concept arts for the game may have inadvertently released some teasers for the expansion content. Apparently, some of the images released by Ubisoft Japan have an operator standing in the rain with an assault rifle, and the Japanese flag is clearly depicted on the uniform. In addition, military accessories like the soldier's hood and mask gave the fighter a samurai-like look.

As for when the next DLC will be revealed, players will have to contend themselves with "Operation Dust Line" for the time being, as the next expansion is expected to come out by July at the earliest. This is what Ubisoft has targeted in their schedule roadmap released after "Rainbow Six Siege" rolled out. However, the release periods for the DLC packs may have to be adjusted because of the delay in releasing the first one.

While it is unconfirmed what operators the upcoming DLC will add, it is certain that the third expansion will add more warriors to the roster, much like what the previous two DLC packs did. The roster has been expanded to include American and Canadian Special Forces operators, as well as a number of new features and gameplay tweaks for the game.
