'Pokemon Sun and Moon' special distribution features Midnight form Lycanroc; here's how to get one

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" players should watch out as the next special distribution is about to come out. The official Pokemon website recently announced that the two games are going have their new mystery gift for this month. How can trainers get their hands on one of these limited edition pokemon?

To celebrate the pokemon's addition to the Trading Card game, the Pokemon company will be distributing a special Rock-type pokemon to the 3DS game.

For a limited time, a very special Midnight Lycanroc can now be acquired via Mystery gift in "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Lycanroc is one of the two final evolutions of the generation 7 pokemon Rockruff in the game. Rockruff can only turn into a Midnight Lycanroc in "Pokemon Moon" after it reaches level 25 during night time.

Midnight Lycanroc is different from Midday Lycanroc in many aspects. Midnight Lycanroc is a bipedal wolf, with short red fur and glowing pinkish red eyes. The pokemon also has distinguishable fur covering its back and shoulders, sweeping forward its head to form a crescent moon. Aside from this, compared to Midday Lycanroc who lives in solitude, Midnight Lycanroc thrives in battle. The pokemon loves a strong opponent and will only respect trainers who accept their rowdy nature.

The special distribution Midnight Lycanroc can be acquired via code. Players in the United Kingdom and North America can visit their local GAME and GameStops shops later this month to get it. Once the code is received, the player can now open their 3DS and enter the code via Mystery Gift.

The Midnight Lycanroc giveaway will be at level 50. The pokemon will have the special ability called "No Guard" and carry a Life orb. The Lycanroc is also equipped with the moves Fire Fang, Stone Edge, Sword Dance, and Sucker punch.

The Lycanroc code will be available starting May 15. "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are now available worldwide for the 3DS.
