A new choirboy puppet from One Way UK, spices created in partnership with India's Dalit community, fair trade advent calendars, and holy socks were just some of the items on sale at the Christian Resources Exhibition Scotland last week.

The two-day event just wrapped up the busiest year ever for the Christian Resources Exhibition, which enjoyed bumper visitor numbers to its Bristol, Esher and Birmingham dates earlier in the year.

"It's the people you meet at CRE who make it worthwhile," said Margaret Wyllie, founder of Holy Socks, based in Newton Stewart.

"We now have several opportunities to develop in exciting ways which I hadn't expected, and it's because of the people we met in Edinburgh."

The next CRE will take place in Peterborough from 29 to 30 January 2014.
