Oscar Pistorius trial update: Neighbor reveals Pistorius' housekeeper was inside the home during the fatal shooting

After months of witness statements and testimony, it was revealed yesterday that there was another person inside Oscar Pistorius' home when he killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day 2013.

Pistorius' neighbor testified that she saw Frank Chiziweni, Pistorius' housekeeper, on the day of the shooting.

The Olympic track athlete and double leg amputee had been dating the model and reality star for three months before he shot her through a bathroom door in his Pretoria, South Africa home. Pistorius maintains that he thought an intruder was in the bathroom.

Despite the neighbor's testimony, Chiziweni has not been called to the stand.

During the initial investigation, the long-time housekeeper told police he was asleep that fateful Valentine's night, and heard neither screams nor a gunshot.

Neighbors 200 yards away, however, described hearing "bloodcurdling" screams that night.

On May 5, two of the neighbors, Rita Motshuane and Eontle Hillary Nhlengethwa, imitated those screams in the courtroom. The women stated that the high-pitched screams were from a man, and denied hearing any female screams.

Nhlengethwa's husband, Mike, testified Monday that Pistorius, 27, introduced Steenkamp, 29, as his fiancée when he met her just days before her death. The Olympic athlete also allegedly told Mike that he planned to move to Johannesburg to be closer to the model.

In court today, Pistorius allegedly told Kim Myers, a friend of Steenkamp, "How can you sleep at night?"

Myers' attorney, Ian Levitt, stated that the comment was made in front of journalists, and that his client was "shocked." Levitt also said that Myers did not know what Pistorius was referring to by his remark.

Pistorius denied saying anything to Steenkamp's friends or family members.

Due to South African elections on May 7, the Pistorius trial will resume on May 8.
