Operation Mobilisation resource helps nurture mission mindset in youths

Operation Mobilisation has released a new resource to help churches bring alive the theme of mission in younger minds.

‘GLOBALkids’ is a fun but informative initiative that presents the needs of a fallen world to church-attending 5 to 11-year-olds.

The latest Global Kids kit for Sunday schools and youth groups is all about Europe and directly follows the successful first pack about India.

In addition to material for eight sessions, a double-sized colour activity sheet for each child per week is also contained inside each pack. A drama script and PowerPoint presentations for a Sunday service, where the children can share with the church all they have learned during the last eight weeks, is another feature of the Europe pack.

Group leaders will find further resources on a CD inside the pack, including a comprehensive set of teachers’ notes for each session and colourful images and photos to accompany the teaching material.

A DVD highlighting OM’s work among Roma children in Albania further enhances the GLOBALkids Europe theme of ‘Who is my neighbour?’.

"Taken together, these extra resources will ensure the children are not only having fun, but also learning valuable biblical lessons," said a spokesperson for Operation Mobilisation.

A separate pack for school RE lessons and assembly use in key stages one and two will be available in 2009.
