"One Punch Man" season 2 was recently announced, but the studios have yet to reveal the plot that will be explored and the characters who will be introduced. Despite this, there are a few clues in season 1 that could hint where the second season is going, and one highly speculated possibility is the appearance of Blast.

Blast, as reported by CBR, is known as the top-ranking S-Class hero, but throughout the entire first season, he never made an appearance. The report points out that Blast only ever comes by to help when he is absolutely needed, meaning the assault of aliens and meteors are not a big enough threat for him to get involved.

However, in season 2, it is expected that the dangers Saitama, Genos. and the rest of the Hero Association will be dealing with are going to be more difficult. Because of this, there is a high chance of Blast finally coming in to help them.

The report also points out that this may only happen if the show introduces an enemy that even Saitama cannot defeat with a single punch. Lord Boros, back in the first season, presented himself as a formidable foe, but even he fell to Saitama's powerful punch, and it would take someone much stronger to get Blast interested.

It is also stated that Saitama's origin stories may be further fleshed out. When Genos asked Saitama how he gained his power, the latter simply replied that he did 100 pushups, 100 squats, 100 sit-ups, and a 10-kilometer run every day.

However, it is speculated he may be hiding other details such as how the origin of his powers made him bald. Fans speculate he may have gotten his powers from alien technology.

MadHouse Productions has yet to announce when "One Punch Man" season 2 will officially premiere, but it has been confirmed that it will launch sometime in 2017.
